Super RARE 1969 14X7 XT dated Dec 68 NT - dog dish wheel rim - Lemans Blue
Hi Gang, trusting everyone's safe & well.
I have an ultra rare 1969 XT wheel / rim here. Restored, originally rust free CA 14X7 XT rim, with the very unusual for 69 date stamping style (like the 67 68 FC style) of ddmmy on the rim lip. FYI here: http://www.camaros.org/suspen.shtml#Wheels It is dated 20128 which is December 20, 1968 for the 1969 model year as noted by the XT by the valve stem. This is off of a very early VN Van Nuys built 1969 SS car and was restored as the spare in the trunk. Still has an NOS Firestone Wide Oval white stripe tire mounted which will be removed for shipping and is not included, nor is the Micro wheel weight included. I have never seen another (69 XT) wheel with these stampings and while it's not unique I'm sure, it is rare and perfect for that correct resto of an early VN SS. There's one tiny 1/8" ding on the lip on the front and a few inch long section of light paint on the rear lip where the green epoxy primer shows through. The rear wasn't painted black and is body color, I don't have a Lemans Blue car here to compare, but I have no reason to believe it's incorrect, but I make no promises as to shade of course. Never run, it was mocked up on a rear brake drum and cinched down with one lug nut by hand, couple of scratches where the jack load rest base held it in the trunk for a bit. Couple of paint runs, but presents nicely! Never had a dog dish / poverty cap installed. Includes the correct type DILL 627 valve stem cap. This wheel would be a very easy color change and would only likely need a scuff and respray. Stamps are clear and deep as shown. GM68 & NT (Norris Technologies) stamps shown. $500 PPFF shipped, tracked and insured to the 48 for the rim only. Cheers all, be well. Anthony Last edited by AnthonyS; 08-15-2020 at 10:14 PM. |
