I agree , the vin list that Yenko sent to NHRA may not be reliable as all Yenko 427 Chevelles.

The list of 1967 Yenko Camaros that was sent to NHRA by Yenko has not proved to be a list of 427 Camaros.



Yenko did meet the 50 car minimum at some point during the year but not sure what date the NHRA list was submitted.

The NHRA season began with the Winternationals in February. It may have been hard to prove that 50 COPO 427 Chevelles were built and sold by February.

This is likely the real case scenario. The COPO Chevelle was eventually classified, and Yenko's efforts to prove that the required number were 'sold' is what motivated these documentation sheets. The VIN's on the sheets are real, its the buyer's name that is skeptical - when you see the dealer owner's wife listed as the buyer, or the guy who tested the Chevelle for SSDI as the buyer.....you just might scratch your head!

do you know the date on the Chevelle VIN sheet sent to NHRA?

if you can find the Chevelle NHRA vin list , would be interesting to know the date and how many vins he sent to NHRA
