Default Mecum Chicago

Did anyone attend from the site. Seems there was some reasonable cars there. Maybe not the BLUE CHIP 1000 point stuff, but some very respectable cars and some that would have made GREAT drivers.

Just wondering was this different then the norm? Seems Mecum has a wide variety of cars and some good buys usually? Or is it just that they look nicer on the internet then in real life?

I thought this would make a GREAT driver:

https://www.mecum.com/lots/CH1019-38...-ford-mustang/

BB/auto, air Mustang coupe

Or this

https://www.mecum.com/lots/CH1019-38...et-camaro-z28/

OG 74 Z28 with AC

A bunch of "possibly" good buys from the Petrozzini Estate, even though there could be some working on them after.

I was there on Friday and I thought this car was a real bargain. A 1969 Camaro ZL1 re creation....real aluminum Winters ZL1 block, heads, and intake, 4 core curved neck radiator, smog equipment, and really nicely detailed. Only fault that I could see was that the underside of the hood was painted body color rather than satin black, and the tires were polyglass rather than Goodyear Wide treads. IMO this car was a steal at 38K plus fees! Check it out here:

The video on YouTube goes from S196 to S198, so it was probably pulled for some reason.

WOW!!!!!!
If it looked as good in person as it does in the pics, that is an amazing deal. Period correct ZL1 engines bring good money all by themselves. Thinkng someone took a serious haircut on that one.

I saw that one cross the block. I was stunned at the price. Someone got a great deal on that car.
