Default Manual steering box identification

Can anyone tell me what manual steering box application this is for. The number on the box is 5679142 and the pitman arm has this number on it 3953227 AG MT5.

The pitman ARM is for a 69 Z28 or N44...
How many turns is the box lock to lock?

I do not see a julian date on the little machined pad to the left of the cover, perhaps the BOX was rebuilt as it has that galvanized tag with 88 4 stamped in.

With turning the steering wheel, I get one and a half turns from lock to lock. The machined pad has a 7 or Z stamped on it. This box does not look like the manual steering box that the CRG has a picture of. My box has the number 5679142 to the left of the "S" and the CRG picture has the number 5679142 to the right of the "S" on the box. So the box I have does not have a assembly date or a casting date on the box.

Like the CRG info say, it's just a casting. Can't tell anything about the application - could have any type of guts installed. The pitman arm is a clue, but sounds like it was added.

Kurt, thank you. This manual steering box 5679142 is in a 1969 Z/28. But like I said it does not match up to the picture on the CRG of a manual steering box.
