I'm the same way. Used to subscribe to Muscle Car Review and Car Craft. When they went digital and wanted to continue my subscription I said no thanks and cancelled everything. Not a social media guy at all and especially didn't like the idea of paying for a mag and not having it in my hands. I expected a discount since they were now saving money on paper and ink, (like that will ever happen, lol)

Oh well, time marches on, and it can keep going far as I'm concerned, I'm happy as a dinosaur.

I've been a muscle car magazine addict since the mid 80's and subscribe to Bone Stock Muscle Cars out of Canada and the last issue was probably the best one I've seen from them yet. I get Muscle Machines too but the years have taught me as soon as a magazine changes their focus and starts featuring modified cars its the ringing of the death bell for them so I'm guessing they won't be around much longer and most of us won't care. I don't mind the 80's features but have zero interest in pro touring crowd they seem to be courting, that's what Hot Rod is for IMO.

Default My Garage and Journey

I'm very disappointed with the present magazine offerings. Our membership's wealth of knowledge, history, passion and journey we have taken should be shared. I think it will provide more entertainment than most magazines. We are about to introduce a new site application My Garage and Journey, which will provide each contributing member their own forum to share their journey, passions, car/collection, memorabilia and skill set.

I've been telling everyone it will be launched soon, but there has been delay after delay. I am excited to say that much progress has been made now and when launched it will fill a huge void due to lack of magazine coverage which used to provide us with information and entertainment. My Garage and Journey will also allow us to learn about members passions, knowledge, journey and interests... oh and their cars!!!!

The delays are due to driving it towards simplicity and user friendly. Fingers crossed for a launch this month.

As we all know, print publications of any form are headed the way of the Pony Express. I'm not a huge fan of the resto-mod stuff either, but it definitely has a following (just watch any of the car auctions featured on TV) so HMM and whoever else may be left are trying to appeal to that crowd too.

Bill, I have had requests to include 60-70's trucks and resto mods section. I don't want to take away from our core. To do that I was thinking about having a separate pages for them. If you were interested in Trucks select that page or resto mods select that page. Thoughts???

Thanks everyone for chiming in. To be honest, It's as much about my 73 year old father as it is about me. He's never been on a computer and at this point probably never will. I'm on here and few other forums daily and can see some of the great stories and unbelievable cars still being discovered, but trying to relay the message isn't quite the same as reading it and see photos.

I really miss the publications and going to the book store once a month and loading up. I've been reading car magazines since I was in my teens. I still have over 20,000 in my personal collection and I read them all. I get on this great site at least once every evening. Keep the great stories and pics coming.

That reminds me of the late 80's BLACKLS5. There were about a dozen muscle car magazines going back then and Super Chevy was really good too. Every day seemed like Christmas when the mailman came and my Dad and I would sit around the living room for hours reading my car magazines. No wonder I did so bad in school...
