Default '67 #s 289/4-sp Fairlane

Mostly unmolested '67 289/4-sp Fairlane that spent most of its life stashed away in a garage in PA. This is a buddy's car, super clean, and I came across it while searching today - totally floored that he's selling it.

If anyone here has an interest please reach out and I'll put you in touch directly.

Cool driver. Bet it would get some looks at the car shows. Especially if you could spot match that fender to the paint.

Cripes, that’s identical to one I was going to buy as my first car! I always eyeballed two cars on the bus headed to high school. A 67 Ford Fairlane and a 66 Ford Mustang. Could never get a hold of the owner of the Fairlane and a dude in my homeroom in a High School was the owner of the Mustang, so I was able to strike a deal with his dad. Love it!!!

Cheers
Dave

Arrgh...relisted for $7800 in the link below, with no reserve. I might buy it myself - it's getting cheap enough. What do you guys think it's worth? The 4-speed is what makes it interesting to me.

Jamb that down here Tony! I'll put a decent paint job on it, recover the seats, detail it up and you'll be riding high!

You deserve it! I think that's a pretty decent deal at the price point.

Cheers
Dave

It's worth $5900 as it sits .. That is an opinion.

Thanks Dave - my wife just reminded me I had four cars in line ahead of it

Scott, appreciate the appraisal, $5900 would be a no brainer for me if he were willing to come down to that price. Do you mind sharing how you came up with that number? Still may shoot him an offer and drive this one home.

Thanks guys.

Is the assumption that the $8,100 bid to price in the original auction was bogus?

He relisted with a starting bid of $7,800 and has no bids.

I would go 8k on the car if I had the room, it was local and I had some spare time. As it is, I have 6 projects in line and two that will be projects if they keep gathering dust like they have for the last 5 years.
