Default Re: Modern Supercars

I bought this last summer... Always wanted one when they were new but of course had no money. It's the first year of the SLP built Z28SS, and car #223. One of just 55 in Polo Green with an M6. 1996 was the lowest production year for SS Camaros since '67 and most of these cars have led a hard life. it came with all the original paperwork and window sticker from Sutliff Chevrolet in Harrisburg, PA and has the cleanest 20 year old cloth interior I've ever seen. It's not perfect, but is the cleanest one I was able to find. I drive it damn near daily and park it in the driveway.

A fun car to use and enjoy.

Bought this to play with: 2001 WS6 6 speed with 63,000 miles. Original female owner was a truck driver - still has its original clutch in fine condition. Factory extended warranty until Dec 2016! ASC did all the GM conversions from Trans AM to WS6 back in the day. They still have the coversion paperwork for the cars. These cars were expensive when new: This one was $32,070. Here is Karen's 2002 Berger...car #95 out of the 100 supercars built by Berger Chevrolet between 2000 and 2002. Red/white 6 spd convertible, chambered exhaust, 380hp...plus all the other good stuff. This summer marks the 14th year for her enjoying this cool ride...hard to believe it has been that long

Can't beat a red convertible!

Karen with "The Greek" after Tony finished his detailing magic.

A very good friend of mine had one of these -- got tagged for running 125mph somewhere in West Nevada-East Callie ... he picked up a few more tickets with the beast. He sold it -- goes to prove old farts act like kids sometimes and pay for it. TAZ

I know it's not a supercar by any stretch, but Edmunds.com (where Joe Oldham's son Scott Oldham is in charge I think) tested a new BMW 340i xDrive and it ran 12.7 @ 108.3 in the quarter. For a stock non-M 3 series that is pretty amazing.

Right? Just bought my wife a new Edge a few months back. On the test drive I commented to her "This thing would walk all over one of my old 383 Road Runners and give my Six Barrel car something to think about."
