That exact thing happened to my sisters car. They broke the collar and away they went. She did get the car back luckily.

One year I hid an inactive phone in the Chevelle that I fully charged. I took pictures of the serial number on it, in case I needed the local authorities to ping it.

Recently, I keep an active phone hidden in my car. Probably not the best security but at least it’s something.

Anyone have lojack? Website talks about dealer install but not interested in trailering car an hour for that. I emailed to see if I can do it myself

One of the cars had it' steering wheel removed, but was still taken...…. A tow truck was probably involved....
