Default '69 Chevelle #s SS396/4-sp, POP

Clean looking car that could use a detailing, but was ordered in nice colors and with the 325hp mill backed by the factory 4-speed. Looks like the original 3.31 open rear was replaced with a CF-code 3.31 posi at some point.

I'm a little surprised to see the asking price approaching $50k...I think this would be a quick sale in the low thirties.

----I don't mind the aftermarket intake. It's OK, but wondering if a 325hp came with an open element air cleaner in 69. Just can't remember. I like that air cleaner in conjunction with the aluminum intake, but would like to know if it's correct for a stock 325hp?......Bill S

Wasn't it a closed single snorkel with a chrome top?

Absolutely right....I have two of 'em. Many people ditched those in favor of the more performance-oriented-appearing open element unit.
