Wanted: QY 4.10 JL8 Rear End

Wanted: 1969 Camaro original 4.10 QY coded production (small axles and tapered tubes) JL8 rear end. Will buy outright or trade.

Have an original complete, unrestored QX coded 3.73 production rear dated mid-May.

Also have a service disc brake 3.73 posi rear complete.

I could work either rear into a trade for a QY JL8 rear. Both of my rears are guaranteed genuine and not some made up compilation of parts.

I’ve had about a dozen jl-8’s and never had a 4:10.
That is gonna be a tough find. The few jl-8s floating around available really dried up about 20 years ago. Now Jim at HBC has most of them that are not still in cars it seems. Good luck !

There is a real jl-8 Z near here that needs full resto. If you are looking for a car to put your rear in !

If I cannot find a QY rear, I will just use the Service Heavy Duty rear and install a 4 series carrier with a 4.10 ring and pinion and put that under my car.
