Default Plastic Interior Parts Restoration

Has anyone had any hard plastic interior parts restored lately? Looking for vendor recommendation. I know Just Dashes has been doing this for many years but curious if they're still on their game or if others have done good work.

Looking to do arm rest bases, outboard seat belt retractor covers, and bench seat hinge covers.

I've restored all those myself using any paint with a flexible agent, like SEM Brand.
Just sand/strip/wash/Prep old surface first.

Gcar does this, but I have no personal experience with them.

Anyone have any comments?

My arm rest bases and seat hinge covers have some deterioration of the grained plastic surface so it's more involved than just a respray.

Wow, 6-7 month turnaround time from GCAR

There's really no way to nicely repair those pieces if they are dried out, chalky, etc. Sure, you can try covering them w/vinyl but now the grain pattern is incorrect.

On the bench seat hinge covers....were those originally a textured/grained appearance? (EDIT: Found repros of these and see they are a similar grain/texture to the armrest bases).

What color armrest bases? What length? (12" or the longer 16").

Seatbelt retractor covers are repro'd and there are at least two styles available. I've installed those before on front seat retractors.

You may be able to find better original pieces...even if the color isn't correct, they can be painted/dyed (I've done A LOT of those).....thus my question on the color and length.

I have a bunch of the 12" front armrest bases here as well as one or so pairs of the longer bases. As far as repro armrest bases...I tend to stay away from those....they don't seem to line up well on the screw holes into the door shell and always require reaming/wallowing-out in that area.

I agree - no repairing those plastic parts. Search out good used ones....
