Cool stuff!.
The below text w/ acid dipped note is an excerpt from a history/tribute to the great Steve Kanuika.
The whole thing's a good read, from the Hamb site.

"...Steve built his last racer; the ’69 Jungle Jim Camaro Super Stocker, with acid-dipped doors and frame, blueprinted 427-inch rat motor and all of the go-fast “stuff”. It was a 9.80s match racer, very popular, and another rolling billboard for his speed shops. This car still holds a class record! It was driven by Steve, and eventually sold to Dick Collins..."

Not the same hood, there are no holes in the rear of the hood in california, the JJ car shows 2 oblong holes in the rear.

It's hard to tell if JJ's car is red with white stripes or white with red stripes. Badass ride.

Not a ZL 1 car, Not a COPO car, Nor an SS396 .... just a used base small V8 car built up. Anyone notice the M/T 427 V-covers,aluminum manifold holding a Quadrajet carb ??? They kept updating the engine from an SS class 396 Q-jet to an Iron 427 then late 69 early 70 into a transplanted ZL 1 type combo & went match racing. (the SS combo was NOT Competitive)
The 3 cars pictured with the last one (tunnel ram, chrome bumper, black grille, diff panel paint, diff location of hood pins & THE FRONT ENGINE PLATE MOUNT) denote this as a Totally different Car..... looking at both Hoods, they have different hood pin locations.... But both Hoods are 'Glass' and are not home made.... aftermarket race hoods (maker unknown) A1 from Md. maybe???...there were a few hoods like these on early Camaros here in Western Pa when I was a kid..... Racing at P.I.D & Keystone Raceway Park.
Does anyone have the Craigs list ad already opened & saved?
