When I was at Pitt in the late 60's, Grabiak was well known around Pittsburgh as having the best selection of Corvettes in the area. There were always 5-6 in the showroom, and countless others in the lot. I still drive by a couple times a year when we visit my wife's family in Indiana, PA. The showroom itself is largely unchanged from the 60's, but, not surprisingly, is now mostly filled with pick-ups.

I think I shopped Grabiak when I graduated college for a new Camaro in 1989 but ended up buying at Kenny Ross Chevrolet instead. And Grabiak was only 5 minutes from Keystone Raceway as well.

Grabiak Chevrolet no longer exists unfortunately. They sold out to C Harper and they eliminated the Performance Center, Pro Shop, and anything cool that was ever associated with the dealership. As mentioned, now the lot and showroom is filled with a bunch of boring pickups and SUV's.

Its is a shame what C Harper did to the old Grabiak Chevrolet. They sold alot of hi performance Chevys. I know of several LS6 Chevelles, LS6 Vette, Z28s, Big block midyears, Fuelie straight axle and midyear vettes, LT1 vettes.

Cool ads!
The Special Color Z-28's may include the Orange '68 noted here in past threads?
Grabiak also delivered the Evening Orchid '69 Z28 which was much debated here a few years back.
