Default Local cruise night

Hi Guys

this was a cruise night a couple of weeks ago in Bradford Ontario. about 1 hour north of Toronto.

Iraqi taxi not muscle but looked like it came off the dealer lot.

Sheesh, that's gotta be a one-of-one....V6, factory air, and floor mounted manual trans in a 4 dr sedan

Love the Dart, same color combo as the 69 Swinger 340 I owned many yrs ago

Actually, there were a slew of these Iraqi Taxis built. Saddam Hussein ordered them. I believe they were all built in Oshawa but I could be wrong. Saddam decided to not take the cars and GM was left with lots full of them. It may have been about the time he was having his war with Iran. Employees were given a special deal and the cars went like hot cakes. With air and cassette stereo, they got the job done without a lot of fanfare. We still see them around once in a while.

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.

They sold new for around $3000 bucks.

I did not get to talk to the owner , but it had at least been repainted . interior look very good original .
