Not quite a barn find
I'm not a Mustang guy, but this was a great find! Not quite a barn find, but instead a storage find. This Boss was put into storage in the around 1980 and just recently pulled out of storage to be sold before winter. A great car that has never been apart. Car has just over 51K original miles and has never been apart. Great sheet metal with some little bubbles, but no holes or rot anywhere. All original suspension, springs, lines, brakes, great floors, etc. The car has a repaint that dates back to the 1970s, since the previous owner never had the car painted. Since finding the car we were able to verify the "born with drive train" and also verified all the original options with the Marti report. Original shaker, power steering, locker rear, 3.91 gears, close ratio 4 speed, chrome magnum 500s, console, rear spoiler, sport rear seat, deluxe steering wheel, tach. We installed a new gas tank, oil/filter, spark plugs, air filter, battery, and rebuilt the carb; now the car runs great.

Re: Not quite a barn find
This didn't happen to come out of the Pittsburgh area when new, did it? Just curious, as I can recall seeing pictures of my Uncles car (purchased new) that was identical to this one. Would be a weird coincidence if it was the same car and it survived all these years. I saw you are in PA, which is what got me wondering...

Re: Not quite a barn find
Unfortunately, I don't think it came from the Pittsburgh area. Car sold new in Harrisburg, PA at Francis of Ford.

Re: Not quite a barn find
Nice Mustang! Curious, why does the black Boss stripe look white in night shot? Is this just an camera exposure thing? I know the Shelby's had a reflective stripe on them.
