Default Re: 1972 Corvette LT-1 Coupe

Spent a little time looking over dates and casting numbers on the Corvette this afternoon... Looks like the exhaust manifolds are incorrect (as is the distributor), but the intake manifold is. The car was built in April and the dates on the block and heads are March, so I feel pretty confident that this really is the original engine. The car is just too "driver quality," and all the receipts I have are for mainly maintenance types of stuff, done to keep it on the road. Can't see someone spending a lot of time and effort to fake a motor in a car with a 15-20' paint job.

It started raining here today, and it probably won't stop now until next July. Someone needs to come and rescue this Corvette--my storage situation just isn't very good!
