Mike.

The more I consider the rotisserie the more I am convinced it is the right path. Using a rotisserie doesn't mean my plan/path has changed just that it will be easier and the results will no doubt be better. (I want to mask off the car and overspray Glade Green on to the sides of the floor pans like the big kids)

Most of the interior can come out fairly easily, seats, door panels, headliner (original has holes and I have an SMS replacement) I don't really want to do this as the more the car stays together the better but I can do this......... What is the benefit?

Ryan

Ryan
On or off a rotisserie getting the interior out, #1 protects it from all the debris, and #2 it would lighten it up if you do use a rotisserie.
On another note, when you get close to painting the floors, resist the urge to use filler on any pitted areas, to hard to sand ! After you are sealed up with epoxy primer go stright to some spray on polyester primer, builds qouck and sands like butter.

Ryan if my 69 chevelle wasn't hanging from my rotisserie I'd send it your way for sure. On a side note I picked mine up dirt cheap on Craigslist but they don't show up very often.

Thanks Mike,

A 1969 Chevelle owner (600 mile L78 Burnished Brown) from Ohio has offered his Auto Twirler. We are working on details.......

You are making the right decision Ryan. Its also good for people to challenge themselves regardless what others my say.. Regardless how it turns out hold your head high as you SHOULD be very proud (not cocky; which you are not) of your work.. In the end if you are happy then no one else matters. I think you are doing the car justice.

'

Ryan,
Have you considered the Rotisseries currently on Kijiji?
Here's four below I see today, you're pretty central to all of them.
The first two are loose but others come w/ cars...worth offering less and flogging the project cars and/or parts to pay the way?
Best of luck whatever way you go!

Car people are the nicest most generous people, we are a group I am proud to be part of.

Ohio guys are a special breed, and Steve Boggess is today's champion in my eyes:-) Steve offered to loan me his rotisserie so I can get my floors and firewall straightened away.

We chatted quick tonight and after the busy Christmas season I will make a visit to Ohio to pick up his twirler. I also hope to visit a few more friends while in the neighborhood, and also I have 1969 GM A Body 2 door post parts (Chevelle...don't tell) bought to pick up. (That is a dream vacation for me:-)

Steve, you reached out and I appreciate it!!!

Ryan

Ryan, I'm still working on the details, but should have a rotisserie for you right here in town. We just need to get the Javelin
project pushed back. I will call you later.
