So when they put the L72 in it, how did they deal with the A/C?

They didn't. I believe the ones that had AC got the hydraulic cam 390hp 427 that was relabeled 410 HP.

this was something I tried to research years ago but it was difficult to collect the data needed on the 68's.

I believe the 1968 Yenko COPO 9737 Camaros were all L78 4 speed cars so a 1968 Yenko Camaro with AT or AC would have to be built from an SS RPO L34 or L35 Camaro

The L34 L35 short block would be swapped for a L36 short block

There was one 1968 Yenko non-COPO 9737 that was said to have a 140 speedo but I don't know if that was done by Chevy or added to the car by Yenko or someone else

Wow, in that add, the Stormer Z/28 was quite a jump in base price compared to a Yenko.

'

Here's Yenko's 09/68 Pittsburg Press Ad as posted a few years back in the Old Newspaper thread w/ 15x 68's available including 2xM40 cars, one 325 + one 425 HP also both listed as having 140 Speedos.
Whether ad mistake or 140 Speedos added by Yenko, I think Joe's exactly right and any '68 M40 Yenko would've been a factory Auto car w/ engine swap, not trans conversion thus no 9737 M40 Yenkos.

Any Stormers known to exist or even to have been built?
