BDisc Brake Banjo Bolt Washer source
I'm having trouble getting my banjo bolt joint to seal. Seems it's a common problem due to replacement copper washers are harder than the originals. I first tried to seal mine with the original washers - no luck. Then bought a set of replacements with the same results. I've torqued the bolt up to 35 ft. lbs. and am afraid to go much higher (spec. is 25 ft lbs.) Anyone have a particular source they've used for softer copper washers?

I read they can be heated with a propane torch and allowed to cool to make them softer. Haven't actually tried it myself though.

Hi Jim. I’ve got a few new ones. I’ll send them to you to try out.

I'm having the same issue with replacement calipers on an '80 TA. I could feel the new washers where stiffer, but never thought about being too hard to indent and seal. Might have to try the annealing process.
Thanks for the tips...

Hi Jim
I've had two sets of the ones available from HBC and they have always worked fine for me. I just installed another set on this yellow car and plan to bleed the system out real soon. I don't expect any problems with them as they have always been good for me in the past.
