 In 1967, if positraction was ordered in a little-used axle ratio, 12-bolt positraction axles were installed in vehicles that otherwise would have received a 10-bolt axle. This was done simply to reduce axle inventory at the factory. This practice only applies to 1967 Camaro, but included all models, even 6-cylinders.

 1967 was the only year you could order Manual Front Disc Brakes on your Camaro. Beginning in 1968 the Power Booster was a mandatory option. This caused the price to go from $79 in 1967 to $142 in 1968. Rally Wheels were included.

 If you ordered a Powerglide auto trans in your 1969 SS 350 Camaro you got a 10 bolt rear. The 12 bolt rear was standard with the 3 and 4 speed manual and the TH350 and TH400 auto.

 The Chevelle was assembled in a whopping 10 different GM plants. For the record, that was: Arlington, Tx; Atlanta, Ga.; Baltimore, Md.; Flint, Mich.; Framingham, Mass.; Fremont, Calif.; Kansas City, Kan.; Oshawa, On., Canada; and Sainte-Thérèse, PQ, Canada.
