Default Keeping the Mice Out

What works when storing a car???
Folk lore, wives tales, who has tried what and what works???
I have heard Irish Spring Soap. Also heard Cling Free Sheets. What else???

Buy a Car Jacket!!! They are advertised in the front of Hemmings. I have them for all my cars and they work great. Thet are like a sleeping bag for cars. You open them up and drive the car on. then disconnect or remove your battery, use the omni-dry moisture bags in the trunk, inside, and under the hood. I spray wd-40 on some areas and then put on the car cover. they recommend cracking the windows slightly for ventilation. pull the bag over the car and zip it up. another "cheap" moisture prevention trick is an aluminum pan with charcaol in it. works good for absorbing any dampness. I suppose you could also throw some moth balls in the pan but the bag should keep out the mice, unless you have some with really big teeth.

I lock a cat in my Nova for the winter. The smell is bad come spring but I've never had a mouse problem.
