Default Re: 69 Yenko Nova ?s

I have just purchased a 1969 Yenko Nova (clone). It has a 427 with a 400TH w/Hurst shifter, 12 bolt rearend 356 gears. The body is really straight, and the car only has 18,000 miles on it. It was a SS 396. Just wondering what the value of a converted Yenko like this would be?

What makes it a clone vs. a nice Nova with Yenko stripes?

It's probably worth almost as much as a properly restored SS.

I think it would have been worth more as a 18K mile SS396 Nova. Stripe kits are only a few hundred bucks and a 427 is pretty cheap also so I don't really think the Yenko stripes add much if anything to the value compared to what it was.

Agreed.

Take the stripes off, and keep it as an SS396 Nova. A real SS396 Nova will be both more valuable and more desirable than a supposed 'clone' Yenko Nova where the only thing 'cloned' is a stripe kit.
