Default Vintage Edelbrock C427X Big Block Chevy Intake

This is a vintage Edelbrock C427X intake manifold. This is for a Big Block Chevy engine with rectangular port heads and a square bore carb. The plenum is also relieved by Edelbrock for use with a Holley 3 barrel carb(I also have the carb if someone needs one).

This intake is in very good shape. It appears to have never been used or even bolted to an engine. It has been powder coated silver and there are a few isolated chips and nicks in the coating. If you don't like the coating, the proper paint stripper will remove it. This is a super nice intake.

$200 plus the ride.

Thanks,

Jason

Thanks for the heads up. Actually, that is why I dug it out to begin with. I told him I had one along with the price. He asked for pictures and after he got them he wanted to grind me on the price saying he bought a C454 intake in the box for $125 and that was the going rate.

Jason,

$200 is a great deal on that....I respect you for staying at that price.

Thanks Dan. I don't mind someone wanting to buy something less. I just don't understand asking for pictures if the price is more than you are interested in paying.

I've been on both sides. Justified paying more after seeing the condition, and also walked away too. I don't always want to reveal the triggers for elevated value, so pic requests can be helpful.

On the other hand, the c454 logic to justify an offer is flawed.

price was fair at $200

If anyone comes up with any C427X manifolds that are still on the box with paperwork for $125 I will buy as many as I can get my hands on.

Paul,

I understand where you are coming from. Its like asking for a date code when you can simply ask for a picture. I didn't make this for sale post to beat up on another member. In his defense, I did not see to small issues with the powder coat until I was snapping photos. Someone will end up with a nice intake.

Thanks Jason, but in my defense, I personally set a number that I feel comfortable with. Just like I do with eBay, I have a max bid and I stick too it. That's just me. I also told Jason I had just missed out on a mint C427X that the first 2 times the seller went to sell it, he didn't get one offer and finally took $125.00. So I asked for pictures and price. I did get an email from him with the price and it didn't say "firm" or anything to warrant me not asking if that's his bottom line. It's was a bit above my "comfy zone" but maybe this was a better example that maybe I could add to my collection of vintage intakes. THEN once I received the pictures, it didn't suit my bill. Sorry

To me, at $200 it's just a bit much FOR ME. I "personally" do not think this intake is worth it TO ME. Others may think it's a deal or fine, but when I have to add shipping and cost PLUS the exchange to US funds, then the boarder, this could run close to $400.00. This is not Jason fault or worry, it's mine. I just didn't think this warranted the expenditure to me.

As I said to Jason. I have 10 vintage intakes, possibly 11 this weekend. I pay what I'M comfortable with. I've paid more then what some things are worth to others, and I've paid less. They are around this area anywhere from 100-300 I'm told. One shop says he says at least a couple a year and he wants $200 for a good one. So I can wait.

If anyone wants one without powercoating, I also have the one pictured below. This one is used and super nice with no bad threads, corrosion, porting, or repairs.

This one is also $200 plus shipping.

Thanks,

Jason
