Yes, they were a speed shop in Des Plains, IL that I went to a few times.
Once we were waited on by Tony Christian, and at the time I didn't know his racing story, until my friend mentioned something about it. |

Jim Swan was the owner or one of the owners of Motor Sport Research. He later owned Downers Grove Yamaha. |

Evidently there were a couple of Grand Automotive shops in Wisconsin as well. It would seem reasonable to assume the Waukegan one was the original and the business name came from the street on which it was located.
