Re: Vintage drag photos
I'm curious if anybody can help ID this car and any of its past history. It was originally an F-F Norwood L78 RS/SS (4K) with black standard interior. Console but no gauges. The car has a cage and tubs in it. It was purchased out of Ohio 10+ years ago and was supposedly an A/Stock drag car when new. It appears to have spent time in Illinois. When I contacted the NCRS service, they unfortunately had no record in reference to the VIN. Does anybody recognize the cartoon caricature drawing on the back of the car? The rear wheel lip shows some clues to a past color scheme. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Vintage drag photos
Well the caricature itself is the old "Kilroy was here", made famous back in WWII. What I was really asking was if anybody recognized that caricature as being on an old Camaro drag car from back in the day.

Here are a few I have on this computer...
The Hugger Orange 69 Camaro - Candy Man - was campaigned locally out of Anderson SC and I suspect is a COPO. I went to high school with the original owners daughter and have since talked with Mr Cromer the original owner and he would love to buy it back in whatever condition. He owns Cromer Food Services - he was just starting when he raced... hence the Candy Man. The LAST picture is of QUAIN STOTT's - Jim Little car which we suspect was constructed in the midwest... it is a 67 conv - REAL 4N C1 code - in the photo it has a lace paint job and a clear blue plex hood scoop. Jim Little traded this car for the 70 Camaro which he took back and Dick Harrel built with the ZL1 engine which Kim Howie restored back to race trim. If any one remembers the car from the Kansas or Oklahoma area he is getting me the VIN and I am going to run a NCRS on it.
