Default Anti Diesel Solenoids on 69 Camaros

Looking for info on the application of the anti-Diesel solenoids installed on certain Automatic Equipped Camaros. The solenoid is shown in the 69 Assembly Manual under RPO M40 page A-10 with a small application note on the bottom left corner of the page that says "12000 RPO L78 V8". Others have reported them on a 307/TH350 with A/C. I've never seen an original anti diesel solenoid on a small block, only big blocks.

Does anyone have one on their car, or seen them on a car? If so what engine was in the car? Chevelles and Nova's probably use the same setup.

My wife's first car was a '70 Malibu...307/PG with A/C. It had the solenoid.
