A 16 inch/50 caliber Mark 2 gun loaded on a truck being transported to Fort Funston, California on April 14, 1937.

This gun had been manufactured for USS Saratoga (CC-3), when she was planned to be a 35,000 ton battlecruiser. While under construction, she was converted into an aircraft carrier in accordance with the Washington Naval Treaty.
