Let's not hate on this car... story is well know. Hit hard in the pass rear. Current owner is posting pics of it on Facebook. He's not hiding a thing. I'll share this - Amazing real frame paint. Amazing frame stencil. Amazing paint/primer/undercoat/black out application on inside of inner fenders. NO ONE RESTORING THESE CARS GETS THAT RIGHT. PERIOD.

While it was hit hard and will be restored/preserved, I've learn from the survivor aspects already and I saw like 10 photos.

Do you have the facebook link? Does it show the damage? Just curious as to how badly it was hurt back in the day.

----I saw a pic of it somewhere and the damage was substantial but nothing that couldn't be taken back to new with a bit of effort......Bill S

Everything I see on the car looks to be 100% legit.
As far as the dirt and oil;
1) It's well known locally that longest storage was in a working farm barn, a very dusty dirty environment.
2)Spraying of oil(s) on stored items was and is a accepted way to protect. Seen it more than few times myself.
3) A co-worker of his relayed that he basically carried something out of MACK TRUCKS in Hagerstown in his lunch box everyday. (a good source of lubricants and such).

From what I've heard going back about 20 years when I first heard of it... 100% real local legend.

Well then that does explain why the engine is so dirty. I think the rest of the car seem fine, just the engine seems like it has 50K miles.

To bad this is now just going to be a collection/museum car! It's not going to be out and driven due to the extremely low milage....Be nice to have a second one for driving.

Dan, please post the FB link if you can. I heard the owner was chasing the car for decades. I'm happy he got it.

Since a picture tells a thousand words, here is a pic of the rear when I was offered this car. It can also be seen below the first post of this thread.

Does only having 1200 miles on this car really add any value. It really needs everything and could never be a survivor.

You may need to be friends with the owner to follow? I won't disclose his name but I will show him this thread and if he chooses to post more info, we should welcome it.
