Were the original canisters suppose to have part# and date code? any one with more info please chime in. Thanks for the help

That looks like one for the F body’s. I got one I’ll dig it out. Tell you what, I’d never put a used one on, one year my car started running crappy, took it to my mechanic, all the pellets were going in the carb. So I searched and found 2 for my car, now their hard to come by. Some guys put a riding lawnmower gas filter on the purge Line,you can then see when it’s let’s go, it won’t get in your carb.

That is strange no number, all the AC ones I’ve seen had a number. The configuration is opposite of mine, look how the dealer sent this to me. Just taped the box up and sent it. Ruined the nOS box. Bastards. It even comes with a gold decal showing date replaced.

There are replacement filters for these too. I picked up a couple when all the parts were being discontinued

Here is the one on my 70 LS5. No part number that I can see and I can just about guarantee it's original to the car.
