Default 70 Camaro Z28

I am looking at buying a 70 Z28 Norwood 5/70 build date car. Where should the car vin number be stamped on the engine block in front of the head behind the alternator or by the oil filter?

It should be on the pad behind the alternator. If your deal falls through on the car you're looking at, I also have one for sale:

70 Norwood Z-28 will have VIN stamped into lower left bellhousing flange, vertically in the rough casting, starting with 10N5XXXXX

VIN will also be on right/rear side of trans case close to assy date.

[/ QUOTE ] Thanks Chuck that is where I thought the numbers should be. Randy's green Z28 looks like a nice car. Is that a factory Copo big rear spoiler car?

I wish I could say yes but the Copo style spoiler was added by a previous owner. The build sheet has D80 listed so the car came with the short spoiler originally. Keep us informed if you buy the car you're looking at and remember to post pictures!
