Default 1969 Chevelle valve cover motor code sticker

Looking for some information for a friend that has a 69 chevelle SS 396 4 speed 350 hp car. Should he have a motor suffix sticker on the back of the valve cover?

Should it be located on the "back of the valve cover" or the front face of the RH cylinder head?

Thank you; mental note made.

The reason I ask is that most that I have seen are on the forward face of the cylinder head, which would (normally) allow the assembly line operator the ability to see it when he picks it from the rack.

I could be wrong, but any engine code sticker for 69 that you buy will be the wrong color, black letters on yellow.
for 69 they were plain white style paper with red letters as in these pictures the first two picture of a original sticker. I made some on the computer using a Word program I think.

MN that I made
