Default 30/30 302 Cam

What is the best Cam for a 302 Cam? Crane has gone out of business. I was told they were the best, does anyone know of another company to use?

Rick's has one P/N EP-599, w/ lifters, and says it is original GM. Also, others have used this cam with good success:http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...d=232&sb=2

Federal-Mogul/Speed-Pro #CS-118R (cam only) or #KC-118R (cam with lifters). Also used to be available from GM under #12364052 with lifters, but it was made by Crane; the locator might still show some in stock.

I have Comps version in a smallblock that just came off the Dyno. It sounds great and the numbers look good. Looking at my cam card the part number is 12-673-4. The cam card has a misprint on the lash so if you buy this one don't go with .012/.012... It wouldn't idle at those settings. Comps techs said it should have been .018/.020 . It idles at 1000 RPM now. Hope your not running power brakes though... No vacuum with this cam.
