Default Camaro disc brakes

I'm trying to take some of the drag out of my '69 Camaro. The front disc brakes drag a lot. If I try to spin the front tires they only turn about 1/4-1/2 round and stop. Is this normal for the factory disc brakes? I rebuilt the calipers several years ago. I'm probably going to use Wilwood or other after market brakes on it due to the drag of the originals. Any recommendations for good after market brakes that will work on the street with low drag?

----I believe that there are later model GM calipers that are low drag when they started to look for ways to bump MPG up. Drag racers know what I'm talking about.I was always going to do it to Red Alert, but never did. Not sure which years but know it works for what you are talking about. Oh,,,and they appear the same!.....Bill S

Default front brakes

Freddie, Check with strange enginnering. I have the drag racing disc brake setup on my nova. But that setup is only for drag racing only. It;s marked on the instructions. But give them a call, and ask them about your application? BBBenny

That is why most drag cars remove the original style disc brakes because of the drag. Benny's set up is the way to go for drag racing.
