Default Oct Hemmings Muscle Machines

Was surprised this morning when I got the mail and saw a 69 Nova SS 396 on the cover that looked familiar. It was Jeff Ancil's car who was running the FAST series with Tim Clary, Rusty Small, and a host of others. We had restored that car for Alan Forman (deuceless) a few years ago. Alan had since sold it. I had visited with Jeff at the Supercar reunion a year or two before. Had a pair of doors from when the car was a racer when the original owner had it that Jeff picked up. Cool stuff when you see something you had a hand in on the cover. And Jeff's got it rockin!

He is running the car in the Factory Stock class at the NMCA event in Norwalk Ohio this weekend. Ran 12.14 at 114 in qualifying. One quick Nova.

I saw Jeff's car at Norwalk yesterday. Gorgeous restoration and paint, and it is fast also! Took a few pics of it. Also saw Mark Hassett's '69 Fathom Green ZL-1 #35 on display by the Chevrolet booth in the Midway. Still looks marvelous after all these years! Also present was the '69 Burgundy COPO 9561 that was restored by SCW and auctioned off two years ago. Met Keith Seymore and Joe Barr there also. Beautiful weather in NE Ohio for 2 whole days in a row! Had a great time.
