Default SoCal 1969 Chevelle SS - wearing original Burnished Brown paint

I’ve been drooling over this 1969 Chevelle SS for a couple of days. If I’m not going to jump on it, I’d better share it here. Looks like a completely rust free car that still wears its original factory Burnished Brown paint. There’s a few bumps and bruises, but overall the car is very presentable with incredible character. If I owned the car, I might repair the areas where the original owner attempted to pull out the dents

Sadly, the original owner passed away along with the car’s history. The original motor is gone, but who knows if it’s still out there? The car currently has a 454 under the hood.

I’ve been in contact with the owner/seller and determined that the car has a dual fuel line. I’ve also gone so far as spending $90 to order the NCRS report on the car. If anyone here is serious about pursuing the car, I’ll gladly share that with a potential new owner.

I’ve also noticed that the car has 61 61 on the trim tag which does not indicate a vinyl top? Looks like the vinyl was added since the factory (and removed many years later).

The seller calls those "parking lot dings"????? I think I'll steer clear of the "parking lot" where those were accumulated

Question Chevelle...

Why do all Craiglist ads read like the seller needs medication for anger management

Looks like it was pulled out from between two trees/cars/parking garage posts/poles etc. Like it was pinned in somewhere. Car has open gashes in it for goodness sake. Given the dimpled state of the body I would say original paint means very little on this one.

With no offense meant at all. What is it about the car that has you drooling over it? I know sometimes we all find cars that speak to us and others are like what!? I'm just curious

Mike, as you probably know, I have a real appreciation for original paint cars. Combine that with some of the really special Burnished Brown ‘69 Chevelles that have caught my eye over the years... this one seems to tick a lot of boxes for me. I was hoping that the car had a single 3/8 fuel line and was sold at Dana Chevrolet, but it’s still pretty special as an L34 or L35. This Chevelle SS can be bought at a reasonable price with absolutely no covered up surprises, and sitting on that bench seat with a 4-speed would bring me a whole lotta fun.

Sure, it has some damage to the left quarter (which I would try to improve somewhat) and some serious parking lot damage to the passenger door, but I could take my wife out to dinner and the movies in that car and not worry about someone parking next to me. The next day, I could take that same Chevelle to a show’n shine, and you know that car would steal all the attention.
