Thats probably me that started that Mike..I looked at the trim tag and seen 2zg and do not see the 2L that should be there for 4 speed. I thought z and m were codes for automatics. Whats your take? Ive never seen a 2Z 4 speed code. HERES THE TAG

Group 2 with an "M" is definitely an automatic. But for 66 and 67 Chevelles, I do not know that "Z" represents an automatic...
