Default Rear Axel Code 1969 Nova

Can anyone tell me where on the rear axel of my 1969 Nova SS I can find the stamped code?

Passenger side tube between the center section & the spring pads facing forward is where I've found them...Joe

Yeah, right axle tube from center forward. I've seen them in different locations, but always right side forward. Sometimes they are hard to find.

Thanks Mr. 70 and others .... I actually sanded the rear of the drivers side tube to bare metal today looking for it .... I will look tomorrow for it. What are the possible gears that could have come with my 1969 Nova SS 350-4-speed?

Probably 3.31 BS code. That would be the performance ratio. But it could have been special ordered with anything available.

My car is a 1969 L-48. 4 speed.
It has a BM code rear axle.
3.31:1 non posi.
