Paul, Pins arrived today - they will work perfectly. Any chance I can get the measurements for the hole size and placement? Thanks again. Kent |

Re: NMW Style Tow Bar Tab Pins
Hope this is enough, but ask if anything needs to be clarified.
Both pins are close enough to be considered the same length. If you measure from flat side under the radius head, this should do a good place to locate the hole. You can use a 13/64 drill bit, then chamfer the hole. The pin is a little bigger than the cheapie at the flea markets. The radius is also bigger. |

I've revisited these pins. If anyone wants a set which I've drilled and zinc plated, they are now available. These pins are available for $50 including shipping to the lower 48.
In this thread there have been questions about the hairpin clips. Any of the inexpensive ones will work. If you care about correctness, the ones listed here at the www.etrailer.com website are what I've found to be the most correct. As you can see there any plenty of other pins- commonly used on trailer hitches but they are smaller in diameter and the radius of the loop area is also off form the original style. It really is splitting hairs, but something some will notice. I figured I would point it out. I've got a limited quantity of the more correct configuration, and I am willing to include those hairpins for Yenko.net members. Please contact me at . Most of you I know, but if you are not sure, please remind me that you area Yenko member. |
