Thanks guys but I’ve already named it “The Prospector”. I will most likely have the name written in a Victorian Era Gold Leaf script on the rear blackout panel. I explained the reasoning for the name in an earlier post. I think an old 49er Prospector is fitting given the gold on gold....

Great name. Can't wait to see the color on it.

Body fit looks really nice. Looking forward to seeing it in paint.

Thank you! As previously mentioned this car was a "survivor". It only has 54k miles on it. Even the original body bushings are in decent shape. All sheet metal is original to the car except the passenger fender and header panel. I still have the original hood which is dent free and very straight! The doors on this car have never been removed.

Here are the 15x4s I bought on eBay a couple years ago. They were rough to say the least. The hoops were too far gone but I opted to "save" the wheels and continue the restoration. Unfortunately we had to replace the hoops and they're a little different than the originals used by Cragar. That said I am very pleased with the result, even though it cost me an arm and a leg... Pictures just don't do this polish and chrome work justice.

Feast your eyes on Prospector Gold! They painted the car yesterday. All I can say is the metal guy did an amazing job! The prep guy did a great job blocking the car! The car didn't take much blocking. It was primed three times in total. The final scuffing resulted in sanding through the primer in a few spots which had to be spotted.... That's how thin the primer is on this car. The painter did a great job. I am very fortunate to be in a position where I could see the progression of the job and be able to communicate with everyone involved. I'm sure I drive them a little crazy sometimes

Thanks Mark! The first two pictures are just the base gold, no clear.
