Loved Van Halen- I remember seeing them open for Black Sabbath in 78 or 79 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia Good times!- blasting Van Halen in my 69 Pace car with the top down just out of High School

RIP Eddie, the original Van Halen was my favorite band in the prime of my life, Many good memories in my life because of the great Music that came from this Guitarist and his band members, I thank him for it!!
My Memorabilia on the band when I went to the concert, April 1984 with Original Ticket/Program/Michael Anthony Guitar Pick and later in 2007 when they reunited with David again.

So sad to hear; he was such a huge influence on how so many people play the guitar today. RIP and condolences to all his friends and family.

Eddie and Alex carved their name in wet cement outside of a liquor store near their house in Pasadena in 1976 and it's still there.
