This breathtaking 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Custom is the ultimate restomod and looks like a life size Hot Wheels. It was featured at the Goodguys 1969 Camaro 50th Anniversary in 2019 and has won multiple “Builder’s Choice” awards. As the VIN number indicates it was built in Norwood, OH as a 1969 Camaro Coupe with an 8-cyclinder engine. It was built for its last owner by award winning builder Rich Mutert of Innovations Auto located in Foristell, MO. This first generation Camaro underwent a no-expense spared rotisserie restoration that was completed to a high show quality level. It retains all original sheet metal with the exception of the new cowl hood. A rear spoiler was fabricated as part of the rear deck lid which looks amazing. The body with extremely straight with excellent gap lines throughout. It was refinished in Dodge Viper Snake Skin Green which is eye candy. The high quality paint work is exceptional and was recently detailed to a brilliant shine. Everything on the exterior was replaced new including all the tinted glass. Some of the exterior custom features include a stainless front grill, United Pacific LED headlights and billet tail light bezels. It has great stance on custom Intro ID307 polished wheels that are 18” up front and 20” on the back. The rear end was outfitted with Detroit Speed mini tubs to accommodate the massive Michelin Pilot Sport 325-30-20 tires. Countless hours were spent designing and fabricating the one-of-a-kind light brown interior. The headliner, sun visors, custom door panels, custom front bucket seats and rear seats were upholstered in leather. The unique metal painted dash houses an aluminum gauge bezel, Marshall black face gauges, modern touchscreen head unit with remote, Vintage Air Conditioning control panel, custom gauges and built in sliding cup holders. The unique metal painted console with aluminum trim is home to a Hurst shifter with leather boot and armrest. Some more interior custom features include a chrome Ididit tilt steering column, Billet Specialties Prism 14” steering wheel, kicker panels, modern seat belts, billet accessories, Wilwood clutch and brake pedals. The trunk compartment was designed and constructed to match the interior theme including the carpeting. It’s equipped with a battery power cut off knob and lugs for charging. The painted engine compartment is artwork with its unique design and styling. The backside of the hood was also painted and pivots on aluminum hinges. The firewall was smoothed and a fabricated radiator support panel was added for a super clean appearance. The car is powered by a GM Performance ZZ502 V8 crate engine that is rated with 502hp. It’s equipped with an Edelbrock Dual Quad polished intake with two Edelbrock polished carburetors and a March Performance front pulley system. It was outfitted with custom painted valve covers and air cleaner. The MSD electronic ignition system and new Powermaster High Performance starter. The engine is cooled by a painted aluminum radiator with dual SPAL electric fans and billet overfill canister. The engine breathes through stainless headers and a 3” dual exhaust system with Hooker mufflers. The engine is coupled to a T-56 6-speed manual transmission that shifts very smoothly. The power is transferred to a Fab 9” rear end housing with posi-traction and 3.89 gears. It’s equipped with factory power steering system with chrome pump. The painted undercarriage is highly detailed throughout. The new fuel tank was painted and clear coated. The suspension system consists of a larger front sway bar, tubular upper and lower control arms, QA1 front coil overs and Detroit Speed rear Quadra link with DS coil overs. It’s equipped with a Wilwood 4-wheel disc braking system including the master cylinder, 13” front rotors, 12” rear rotors and green painted calipers. This car was recently serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice. The awards are not included. From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.
