Ames really did a great job with the restoration parts business and was the most upfront and truthful advertiser I have ever seen... I remember when their catalogs would tell you how long it would take to modify a repro part to make it fit like OEM.
RIP sir...

Steve was a truly tremendous human being who gave back to the community at every opportunity. I am proud to have had him as a friend and I will truly miss his great stories at Carlisle and SEMA. Visited he a Joan few years ago and he took me over to see his car collection.... Amazing.

Rest easy my friend. You will be missed.

Donny

Ames Performance was THE place to get Pontiac parts and advice. Their parts fit better than anyone else's, unless he had no choice but to sell the only repro piece available, no matter how bad it fit, but ,as said, they told you that before you bought it.

I bought a lot of stuff from Ames when I was restoring a '67 GTO from a gutted shell.

It's sad to see the true car guys go...RIP.
