Convert electric gauge to mechanical?
What do I need to do this to a Sun water temp gauge?

Re: Convert electric gauge to mechanical?
I'm thinking you would have to replace it -- electical and mechanical water temp gauges work on entirely different principles. TAZ

Re: Convert electric gauge to mechanical?
I've heard companies are able to do this. I still need to figure out what to do. I've never come across a Blue Line Mechanical temp gauge.

Re: Convert electric gauge to mechanical?
hmm... Tailoring a sending unit to work with an older electric gauge would be easier. Installing a complete mechanical setup that's cal'd to the original face could take a bit. I guess if there is a current mech gauge with the same sweep, range and needle position... it would make things easier. It's replacing all the guts with a Buordon tube system and capillary line lead.

Re: Convert electric gauge to mechanical?
Ah. Thanks for the info. Guess I need to see if I can pull it apart without screwing it up.
