Default 1941 Buick Steelcraft Pedal Car featured on T.V. Show Pawn Stars

1941 Buick Steelcraft Pedal Car featured on T.V. Show Pawn Stars

$7,900

This gorgeous 1941 Buick Steelcraft Pedal Car was featured on the famous TV Show “Pawn Stars”. It was on Pawn Stars Do America Season 2 Episode 8 in Louisville, Kentucky which was released on December 19th, 2023 as “Derby City Deals”. The episode can be viewed on You Tube for a small charge. Steelcraft toys were made by Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company, a Cleveland firm that opened in 1919 to make parts for automobiles. By 1923, Murray also was making toy cars using the steel and production methods it used to manufacture full-size car parts. The toys were marketed as Steelcraft Wheel Goods. This diversity helped Murray survive the Depression. The company's pedal cars, airplanes, coaster wagons, bicycles and smaller wheeled toys were marked “Steelcraft”, the identification seen by today's collector. As documented on Pawn Stars, this example was discovered as an original 1941 Buick Steelcraft pedal car that was slightly modified for an amusement park. It was used as a small car for a young child that was attached to a circle track. It was brought to Pawn Stars by its owner and offered for sale. Pawn Stars owner Rick Harrison collaborated with expert Bob Yuhas of Bob Yuhas Restorations for advice. Bob explained it was an original 1941 Buick Steelcraft Pedal Car that is very collectable. Bob gave Rick an estimate to restore it to original condition and Rick purchased it. Bob completed the restoration and presented it at the end of the episode. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased it directly from The World Famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop on December 23rd, 2023 shortly after the episode aired on T.V. December of 2024 is the first time it's been listed for sale. The purchase included a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Rick Harrison which was professionally framed. The purchase also included an authentic World Famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop T-shirt that was autographed by Rick Harrison, Corey “Big Hoss” Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell. Both of these items are pictured and included with the sale.

This pedal car is in show quality condition throughout. The metal body was stripped, prepped and painted. It was refinished in the era correct colors of Green and White. The steering wheel, hood stripe, nose stripe, quarter stripes and wheels were finished in the creamy white color. The front grille and rear grilles were painted silver. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced including the windshield trim, hood trim, fender trim, headlight trim, front bumper and wheel center caps. The pedal assembly, hardware and tires were replaced during the restoration as well. Since completion it's been a display piece and never operated. This is a great opportunity to purchase a beautiful 83-year iconic pedal car that is a T.V. star!
