I've been fooling with this car off and on, between everything else I have had going. While trying to stay busy between jobs, I thought I should update this thread. So, that having been said, here we go.

I've managed to put about 900 miles on the car since I purchased it. I must say, I got this to run pretty damn good. A carb rebuild, some basic tuning, and a heavy right foot has given me a pleasant surprise. Might be one of the hardest running L36's I've had.

Originally delivered to Hallman's Chevrolet in Johnstown, PA on June 26th, 1967 to Mr. John Minemyer.

One of the first items on the list, was to have the tank sticker validated, which our own Tim G was kind enough to oblige. In addition, I had Al Grenning of CCAS validate the engine case, Protect-O Plate, and the trim tag.

https://www.ccas4vettes.com/pr01.htm

My vision for this car is to sympathetically reverse some items that have occurred through the years. Much like I have on some other cars that have passed through my hands. The car has many original features, numbers, and bits. Having said that, there is enough that has been fluffed, reworked, and changed.......where the car is far from a pure original car. My mission is not to restore this car, but rather get it to a point of just a nice old car that has been maintained.

A sharp eye will pickup on the fact there are remains of orange paint underneath the car. The 2nd owner took the liberty of the ever so popular, "lets paint the chassis orange"!!!! Added to that, the 3rd owner then painted it black over that Sooooooo, I've been experimenting with the magic brew to remove that. Thankfully, this has a really nice dry frame, and they didn't spray the orange (or the black) into the least accessible areas.

Also to this point, I have installed new stainless sleeved O-ring calipers all the way around, new brake hoses, and installed rebuilt trailering arms. I'll pull the engine and trans this coming winter. At that point, I'll rebuild the front control arms and remove more spray bomb work.

The original fuel pump has come back from Fred Ballard

And some of the original parts are headed out for rebuilding.......

Hell, they even saved the original radiator hoses, which I will reinstall. I'll pull the cluster and clean all of the gauge faces / lenses, plus rebuild the clock. The dash pads are really nice, as are the door panels and seat covers. Once I pull that all apart, I'll see what I can accomplish with the carpets (trying to get them to the next level)

I've got these on deck for the car too

That's all for now!

Very cool - I’d say the car is in good hands

What a great car, Tim. You know how to get them mechanically perfect. I’ll enjoy watching the engine pull.

There is some original paint. The front clip has been painted, and certainly a healthy blow in on the rear deck. I feel the doors, a good part of the rear quarters, some of the rear deck, and most importantly the hood are original. As you know Bill, there are characteristics to an original hood stinger that seldom gets properly replicated.

I am pleasantly surprised. 2 1/2 weeks and I got the water pump back from Hite Parts Exchange.

Thanks to Doug Perry for the suggestion!
