As far as price, we never got that far and I have lost interest in it after finding out it is not an original born with L78 car. Nothing against the car, it's just not what I'm looking for. I do appreciate all of everyones input as I am not as knowledgeable as you guys.

To me it is lying period and fraud to claim a car is something significant and it is clearly not. Perfect example I looked at 69 Z this past week guy claimed he had the original motor. Block was decked ended up being a 350 sbc block.
And he wanted 89k for the car. I didn't say much and was not going to argue with him. Just told him he should do some more research on what he has to get a better description of what the car is and not. Of course well its real and I have this blah blah. Sad part is some guy will end up with it and then find out he has 30k car. Have to say we are all pretty lucky to have a site like this.

Maybe he's just not aware. He may not even be asking L78 money for it. If he is asking L78 money for it then I guess an argument can be made.
But I tend to think since I see this car at the Pavs all the time, he's well aware of the pedigree that comes around that cruise on a regular basis and the amount of knowledgeable people that place attracts. I find it hard to believe he thinks he's going to fool anyone in that neck of the woods. Which makes me think he might actually believe what he is portraying. If the price is right it's still a neat car to have fun with, it just wouldn't be the right car for those number crunching guys. |
