I noticed the $56.90 charge for posi. Does it have a curved-neck radiator?

Does the car still have the Blue Light stereo radio in it? A solid lifter car with awesome sounds! Too cool!!

Well I finally made it through all the CD's and unfortunately there was neither a picture of your dad's car or mention of his name in the class winners report every week. Sorry I could not come up with anything.

I did however come across a listing of John Bezdichek running the 70 Dick Harrell Camaro with a time of 12.17. I had heard it ran that quick but could never find anything. Unfortunately no photos have ever surfaced of that car at Minnesota Dragways though we know it ran there several times.

Wow - what a small world. My dad has known John for years. John has owned more hi-po cars over the years than anyone I know. The 427 my dad's car has in it right now came out of John's Blue 67 Biscayne he ran in SS.

As for the radio, it's not in the car, but it is downstairs. On the radiator, I'm not sure what the curveneck looks like and the way the car is put away, I can't get to the front. If you send me some pics of each, I'd be glad to check for you in the spring.

For the few who remember MN Dragways: This is my dad in his 65 GTO at MN Dragways. According to the back of the photo, circa Aug 1968. The GTO is sitting in a barn, but unfortunately, it's not for sale.

"Curved neck" refers to the metal tube the upper radiator hose connects to.

On virtually all cars it is straight. On '69 Camaros with a bb and HD cooling [probably all COPOs] the tube has a 90º bend. It is also seen on 396/AC Camaros but is fairly unusual on a non-AC 396. Camaro ordering info lists positraction at $42.15 but for 3.73 or 4.10 ratios "also includes HD radiator...$56.90" but does not specifically list the 396. The manner in which it is stated leads me to believe you couldn't order the car that way but the factory may include it at the additional cost.

Ask him if he has any photos of the green/white stripe DH 70 Camaro.
