Default 69 L78 Chevelle Found

I recently bought this car after working on the deal for a little over a week. At first we couldnt come to a deal on the whole car, and the owner sold me some parts out of the car, and finally she called me and sold me the whole car. This car has sat on a trailer on the side of a hill for atleast 24 years. Its got the single 3/8 fuel line, bench seat 4 speed car, CI 12 bolt 3.73 posi(pictured below, working on a better pic), non AC, 6k redline tach. I did not get the original motor, however when i left i was at a local gas station filling up and an older man approached me saying he knows where the original motor is. Hes making some pretty crazy requests to unite me with the current owner of the motor, but im trying to work with him to see if hes telling the truth, or just bitter because hes been trying to buy the car for 20 years. The lady i got it from was the second owner with her husband, she is now 58 and they got the car when she was 23.

Awesome score! I hope the original engine ends up being legit and the guy that knows it’s location turns out to be cool.

Congrats,

Jason

any signs of a build sheet?
they have been found in weird places on Chevelles such as in the headliner , door panels, under dash , etc

Congrats Casey! Has all the tell-tale signs of a solid lifter car!! Is the tranny with the car? If so, is the vin and manufacturer's stamp on top of the case?

Thanks guys! The only spot i havent checked for the buildsheet is the headliner. Ive been very busy with work and working with this guy that supposedly has my connection to the original owner is not easy. But im not giving up
