2002 Monte Carlo SS Intimidator 31 miles
I have this Monte Carlo SS Intimidator coming up soon on Bring a Trailer. The car will be selling at no reserve.
This particular car was a gift from General Motors to NASCAR driver Dave Marcis upon his retirement in 2002. Aside from Dave's career as a stock car driver, he was an engine builder, fabricator, and test driver for Richard Childress Racing. In Dave's later years, RCR provided engines and technical support to Marcis in return for his aforementioned work. In addition, Dave had a close friendship with Dale Earnhardt. Through their friendship, Dave became heavily involved in the RCR program. The car is documented with a copy of the MSO, later titled in Marcis's name, GM document detailing the gift, and window sticker. No surprise, the car is a time capsule. It currently has 31 miles (thirty one). On a side note, the car was delivered to Wehrs Chevrolet on Bangor, WI. All of Dave's vehicles have come from Wehrs. Dave Marcis is a native of Wausau, WI and is legend in Wisconsin short track racing history. I'll update the thread once the link is provided and the auction is live. I have approximately 200 pics on my website....... https://www.bouldermotorcar.com/used...carlo-ss-c-24/ |
