Was watching an interview tonight with Daniel Lanois who produced Robbie's first album. At the time he was also producing U2's mega album the Joshua Tree.Robbie and Daniel were in Europe and dropped into U2's studio and they ended up playing backup on one of Robbie's songs for his album! Watch the documentary "Once Were Brothers" and you'll see the part where Eric Clapton wanted to join the band at one time.Robbie was born on the Six Nations Reserve in Southern Ontario and was proud of his Indigenous roots. His mother was Mohawk/ Cayuga.RIP Robbie.
